Summer orders include a cool gel pack and ventilated packaging that hold the contents below 28 °C through heat waves.

Across the EU and to the United Kingdom we ship via DHL Express (2 to 3 business days for EU destinations, 4 to 7 business days for the UK). Architecture and Arena Decor. 29 small-to-medium decor pieces — brick structures, stone arrangements, moss stones, model walls, and natural-look architectural elements that turn an empty arena into a landscape. Sized for S to L formicariums.

Big Decor. 3 large statement pieces — stone towers, model ruins, and oversized natural-look decor for XL display outworlds. The eye-catching showpiece elements you build a colony display around.

How to choose decor for your colony

For desert species: dry sand (red, beige, or white) plus minimal stone elements. Cataglyphis, Messor, and desert Camponotus all photograph well in dune-style arenas.

For tropical species: darker sand or substrate plus moss-look elements. Pheidole, Polyrhachis, and tropical Camponotus match well with forest-floor aesthetics.

For display colonies: a Big Decor piece as the centrepiece, sand as the floor, smaller architecture for depth. Camponotus singularis on a model ruin or Myrmecocystus repletes against light sand makes for striking photographs and videos.

For arenas under 30 cm: stick to small architecture pieces and avoid Big Decor — it crowds the foraging space.

Can I mix sand with other decor?

Yes — sand forms the floor layer in most arena setups, with architecture pieces and decor placed on top. Combine textures for visual depth.

Are formicarium decorations toxic to ants?

Every item in our catalogue is non-toxic and tested in live colonies. We do not sell painted, lacquered, or chemically treated decor. If you bring items from elsewhere, wash thoroughly and test in a small isolated arena first.
