Drinking Bowl — Small
14,00 zł
A single slip into a deep cap can cost a founding colony a nanitic it cannot spare. The Drinking Bowl Small clears that hazard — the most compact square in the printed range at about 2 × 2 cm, with a walk-in slope shallow enough for the tiniest workers and a flat side that tucks into a nano arena. Made from tough ant-safe plastic and ready for water, sugar water, diluted honey or liquid jelly. Colours are assorted, so the shade may differ from the photo.

Drinking Bowl Small — 3D-printed square water and feed dish for ants (≈2 × 2 cm)
The Drinking Bowl Small is the most compact square in the printed range, about 2 × 2 cm, built for founding colonies and the tightest setups. To a handful of tiny workers an ordinary water source can be lethal — one fall into a deep, straight-walled cap and a nanitic is gone. Here the low rim and walk-in slope let those workers step in, drink and climb back out, and the flat side holds the dish steady in a corner of a small arena. It doubles as a water and liquid-feed dish, and ships sealed from Poland with tracked delivery across the EU, UK and worldwide.

Why the walk-in shape matters
With a colony of a few minute workers, there is no margin for error. The shallow profile and sloped wall mean ants reach the liquid and return on their own, with no deep edge to fall into. The print is light and durable, so even this small dish handles daily rinsing and refilling.
A note on colour
These bowls are produced in assorted colours and we ship whichever is in stock, so the shade may differ from the photo. Colour has no effect on how the dish works; it is purely cosmetic. If you have a strong preference, add a note at checkout or message us in advance and we will do our best to match it, though we cannot guarantee a specific colour.
Who it’s for
The Small is built for nano arenas, compact outworlds and founding colonies where space is tight and the workers are minute. It suits the full range of kept species at the founding stage, and works well as a second dish, one for water and one for liquid food, in a small setup. Step up to the Medium or Large as the colony grows.
How to use it
Stand the bowl in a corner of the arena or outworld, away from the nest entrance. Fill with clean water for daily drinking, or use it for sugar water, diluted honey or liquid jelly at feeding time. Being small, it empties faster, so check and top it up more often and rinse regularly. No cotton is needed, though a tiny pebble suits the very smallest species.
Pairs well with
It sits naturally alongside our jellies, honey and protein foods for a complete feeding station, and beside the Medium and Large square dishes or the clear acrylic range as the colony grows. Stand it on a firm quartz-sand or decorative-stone floor so it stays level.
Care and maintenance
Rinse under running water between refills and clean more thoroughly when residue builds up. The durable plastic wipes clean; skip harsh solvents and abrasive scourers. Let it dry or refill straight away. With a basic rinse it stays hygienic long term.
FAQ
Will small ants drown in it?
No. The shallow walk-in shape lets even the smallest nanitic workers step in, drink and climb out.
Can I use it for food as well as water?
Yes. Clean water, sugar water, diluted honey and liquid jelly all work.
Why might the colour differ from the photo?
We produce these in assorted colours and ship what is in stock, so the shade varies. It does not affect how the dish works.
Can I request a specific colour?
Add a note at checkout or message us in advance and we will try, though a specific colour cannot be guaranteed.
Is it the right size for a founding colony?
Yes. At approximately 2 × 2 cm it is made for nano arenas, compact outworlds and founding colonies; step up to Medium or Large as it grows.
How is it shipped?
Sealed and well packed, dispatched within 24 hours from Poland with tracked EU, UK and worldwide delivery.
