A foraging arena separates the colony’s living space from its feeding area — one of the most important aspects of healthy ant keeping. Place all food and water in the arena, never in the nest. The colony will establish a foraging trail through the 10 mm tube quickly. The 20×10 footprint gives workers enough room to forage comfortably even in a colony of several hundred workers, and the six lockable entrances let you seal the arena during feeding, cleaning, or when you need to temporarily disconnect it from the nest.

Add decorative sand to the arena floor for a natural surface and visual appeal. Enrich the foraging environment with small decorations or architecture decor pieces. The larger footprint of the 20×10 arena gives more room for a richer decoration layout than a 10×10 arena.

For escape-prone or very small species, apply a thin layer of escape prevention barrier (fluon, mineral oil, or talc-water paste) to the upper inner walls of the arena.

Can I use this with a 10×10 nest?
Yes, with a 10–8 mm adapter tube, but the Arena 10×10 is the more proportionate match for 10×10 nests. The 20×10 arena is best paired with 20×10 or 20×20 nests.

How many entrances does it have?
