Grain Set Small – Mixed Seed Food for Harvester Ants
Small grain set for founding harvester ant colonies. The same mixed seed blend as our larger packs in a small pack size – ideal for founding colonies (10–100 workers) and for testing whether your species accepts the mix before buying a bigger pack.

When to Use
For founding Messor and Pogonomyrmex colonies, or to test which seeds your specific colony prefers. Very small colonies may struggle with larger grains – crush a few seeds first or offer a pre-crushed mix. Same blend as our Medium and Large packs – only the quantity differs.
How to Use
Place a pinch of seeds in the arena or near the nest entrance. Workers carry the grain to storage chambers (granaries) inside the nest and mill it into “ant bread” for the brood. Remove old or damp seeds before refilling to prevent mould.

Mostly no. Omnivores like Camponotus and Lasius prefer carbohydrate jelly and protein.

Only the quantity – the seed blend is identical. Large for big colonies, Medium for growing ones, Small for founding colonies.
