Description
Buy one module today, build a whole system later — that is the idea behind the Modular Nest Nebula (10 × 10 cm). A wide central gallery splits into two side corridors, a branching path small-to-medium colonies of up to ~350 workers adopt fast. Lockable nut-and-screw entrances, a sponge humidity chamber and standard ports slot it straight into a growing setup. Fits Lasius, Tetramorium, Messor and most popular species; 9 mm chamber height.

Modular Nest Nebula — 10 × 10 cm acrylic ant nest with a branching-corridor layout
This 10 × 10 cm acrylic ant nest runs a wide central gallery that splits into two symmetrical side corridors, a branching path colonies read as natural and adopt quickly. Start with one module and grow into a custom system from there. It suits small-to-medium colonies of up to about 350 workers, and as part of the ANTonTOP modular range it connects to arenas and other modules through standard ports, so a single nest expands into a tailored setup as the colony grows. The 9 mm chamber height fits Lasius, Tetramorium, Messor, small-to-medium Camponotus and most popular species. Made in Poland and dispatched with tracked EU, UK and worldwide delivery.

Why the branching layout works
The branching corridors mirror how ants lay out foraging paths underground, so the colony settles in and spreads with no hesitation. The wide central gallery splits into two side corridors, and that symmetry makes for a clean, satisfying view as the colony fills the chambers.
Who it’s for
The Nebula holds up to about 350 workers across most popular species — Lasius, Tetramorium, Messor, small-to-medium Camponotus and similar. Settle a colony in and let it spread through the branching chambers. For a founding queen, start her in a tube and connect the Nebula once she has a small worker force, so the space matches the colony.
Humidity and care
Fill the sponge humidity chamber through the 3 mm syringe port once or twice a week; water spreads passively without touching the nest chambers, holding an even, stable moisture the colony can settle into with no flooding of the living space. Keep food in the connected arena rather than the nest chambers so the living space stays clean, spot-clean that arena, and refresh the sponge water on the same weekly rhythm. The smooth acrylic wipes down easily and stays clear.
Setup and escape protection
Close the unused entrances with their nut-and-screw caps, connect a tube where you want access, fill the humidity chamber, and introduce the colony. Sealed acrylic and locked ports keep workers where they belong, and the smooth surface stays clear for viewing.
Expansion and pairings
The four lockable nut-and-screw entrances accept tubes to arenas and other modules, so one nest expands into a custom system with no stressful full moves. Add an acrylic or gypsum arena, a drinking dish, protein and carbohydrate jelly food, and connection tubes for daily care; when the colony fills the Nebula, connect another modular nest or a larger formicarium through the entrances, and its home grows as fast as the colony does.
FAQ
What is special about the Nebula layout, and what size colony does it hold?
A wide central gallery branching into two side corridors — a natural path structure colonies adopt fast — sized for up to about 350 workers, with a 9 mm chamber height suited to Lasius, Tetramorium, Messor and most popular species.
How do I add water?
Through the 3 mm syringe port into the sponge chamber, once or twice a week.
Can I connect it to other nests?
Yes. The four lockable nut-and-screw entrances accept tubes to arenas and other modules for a custom, growing setup.
Can I start a founding queen in it?
Start her in a tube first, then connect the Nebula once she has a small worker force, so the space matches the colony.
Do you ship outside Poland?
Yes. We dispatch within 24 h from Poland with tracked DHL across the EU and EMS worldwide, year-round with heat or cool packs and a live arrival guarantee.
