Beginner lifehack: match the space to the colony
Use the four slider-controlled sections to keep the colony in part of the nest at first, opening sections as numbers grow – the nest always feels right-sized and stays cleaner.
How the humidity system works
Ideal uses three internal sponge chambers. Add water through the ports with a syringe once or twice a week and it spreads passively between the acrylic layers, keeping a large nest evenly moist without wetting the colony directly.
Ventilation and mold prevention
Laser-cut micro-perforations run throughout for continuous passive airflow. Don’t over-water and clear leftover food promptly to keep a big nest fresh.
Escape protection
The fitted acrylic lid and arena walls keep workers contained. For climbing species, a thin band of anti-escape fluid around the arena rim adds extra security.
Assembly
Ideal is precision laser-cut from 3 mm acrylic and arrives clean and ready. Connect tubes through the 15 mm ports if linking outworlds, fill the humidity chambers, and populate.

The large arena is a real foraging stage – sand, stones, moss or a decoration turn it into a landscape and a display centrepiece. Keep paths clear for feeding.
