Most nests give a large colony space; this acrylic ant nest gives it management. The Ideal is the most complete acrylic formicarium in the ANTonTOP range (30 × 32 × 13 cm), built to carry a colony from a few hundred workers up to a couple of thousand without ever swapping homes. Four independently controlled nest sections parcel out space as numbers climb, three humidity chambers hold a steady climate across a large footprint, and dual 15 mm ports link it to arenas and further nests. The 13 mm chambers clear larger Camponotus and Messor majors. Laser-cut from 3 mm acrylic in Poland and shipped with tracked EU and worldwide delivery.

Four sections, one colony
A colony heading for thousands of workers wants room and restraint at once. The four slider doors give both: keep the colony in one or two sections at first, then open the rest as the worker force grows. That keeps the nest cleaner and the humidity even, because the ants only patrol the space they fill. At full capacity a colony of a couple of thousand works as one behind clear acrylic. If yours is still building, start it in part of the nest rather than the full space at once.
Humidity and care
Top up the three sponge chambers through the ports with a syringe once or twice a week; the water travels by capillary action between the layered acrylic sheets, holding an even gradient across a large nest without wetting the colony. No misting, no soaking. Refill before the sponges run dry and never flood them. Laser-cut micro-perforations throughout give continuous airflow without drafts, so clear leftover food promptly to head off mold and condensation.
Setup and escape protection
The Ideal arrives clean and ready. Peel the protective film from both faces for clear walls, connect tubing through the 15 mm ports if joining outworlds, fill the three chambers and populate. The fitted lid, arena walls and slider doors hold workers in; for climbing species, run a thin band of anti-escape fluid around the arena rim.

Several drinking dishes for a large foraging force, protein and carbohydrate jelly for balanced feeding, soft tweezers for brood and food, and a syringe for watering. The dual 15 mm ports turn the Ideal into the hub of a bigger setup, so you can add arenas or further nests from our formicaria range. Dress the arena with sand, stones or moss, keeping the paths clear for feeding.
