Description
When a colony is heading for the thousands, give it one big room instead of a chain of small ones. Breeding Kit 5 is hardware only, with no ants, built on the Formicarium Giant (25×15 cm, 16 mm chambers) for colonies up to 2000+ workers, with multiple humidification chambers and staged-expansion latches. Dressed and ready: five decorations, 3× quartz sand, a feeder, jelly food, tweezers and a screwdriver. Made in Poland, part of the modular system.
Give a big colony room to spread.

Breeding Kit 5 — a large Giant ant keeping hardware bundle (no colony) for colonies to 2000+
A growing colony eventually outgrows a chain of small nests joined by tubing. Breeding Kit 5 answers that with a single large room: the Formicarium Giant, 25×15 cm of acrylic sized for a colony pushing past two thousand workers. There is no colony included; this is the hardware, dressed and ready for a substantial colony you supply. It gives you maximum space in one unit rather than a sprawl of modules.

A real home, the Giant dressed and ready
The Giant is the big single nest in our range. Several humidification chambers keep moisture spread across the nest rather than pooled in one spot, and a set of latches releases the space in stages so the colony fills it from one corner outward. Large tubing ports take arenas and further modules when the colony pushes past 2000. It is the same 3 mm layered acrylic used across the range, with real humidification and screw-locked access instead of a clip-on lid that pops off. Five decorations spread across the generous arena, three bags of quartz sand cover the floor, and the feeder, jelly food, tweezers and screwdriver handle feeding and access — the screwdriver locks and opens both the entrance and the expansion latches. Once the ants are in, there is nothing more to buy.
Who it’s for, and as a gift
Breeding Kit 5 is for the keeper running a large colony who already has the queen, raised from a test tube or caught locally, and wants serious space ready for it. No queen yet? Pair it with a large live colony from our species range, or take one of our complete kits with the colony, formicarium and food in a single box. For a keeper whose colony is climbing fast, a big single-room home makes a gift with room to grow into.
Setting up and feeding
Assemble the formicarium, moisten the humidification chambers, and lay a thin bed of the included sand across the arena with a few decorations. Open the latches in stages rather than all at once — a smaller colony in a fully open Giant will not settle. Connect the arena to the nest where it applies, then introduce your queen or colony, keep things warm and quiet, and feed the species you keep to its own diet using the feeder and jelly food. The large ports connect the Giant to the rest of our modular system if the colony keeps climbing.
Delivery and live arrival guarantee
We ship year-round, packed to protect the acrylic and any substrate in transit. A tracking number goes out on dispatch day, and every part is checked before it leaves us; if anything arrives damaged, contact us and we will replace it.
FAQ
Isn’t the Giant too big to start a colony in?
Use the staged-expansion latches — keep the colony in one section and open more as it grows. The latch system makes the Giant workable even for a founding colony.
How many workers does it hold?
Up to 2000 and beyond in a single unit, and the large tubing ports let you add further modules if the colony keeps growing.
Are ants included?
No. You get the Giant formicarium, sand, five decorations, feeder, jelly food, tweezers and a screwdriver, but no colony. Add your own queen or buy one from our range.
I don’t have a queen yet — is that a problem?
No. Many keepers buy a breeding kit before flight season so the home is ready, or pair it with a live colony or a complete kit.
How long does delivery take?
1 to 2 days inside Poland (InPost); 2 to 3 days to Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium (DHL); 3 to 5 days to France and the rest of the EU; 5 to 9 days to the United Kingdom; worldwide tracked and quoted at checkout.
A note on care: each item is built for a specific job — please use it only as intended. Responsibility for correct, safe use rests with the keeper; ANTonTOP accepts no liability for misuse or damage from improper use.
