Athens Acropolis & Parthenon Temple Miniature – Miniature Architectural Decoration for Ant Arenas
Recreates the iconic columned silhouette of the Parthenon at miniature scale. Placed in the open area of a formicarium arena, it gives your colony a visual focal point and provides structural variation. Ants will explore it freely – climbing on top, walking through arches and around corners. The casting is detailed enough that even at 5–10 cm scale you can recognise the original building.

About This Landmark
The Parthenon, crowning the Acropolis hill in Athens, was completed in 432 BC as a temple dedicated to the goddess Athena. Designed by Iktinos and Kallikrates and overseen by the sculptor Phidias, it is the most influential surviving building of classical Greece – the model for two and a half thousand years of Western architecture. The Doric columns, sculpted metopes, and the friezes that once ran around the inner chamber set the standard for proportion and harmony that architects still reference today.
When to Use
Place in the open arena of your formicarium, in a corner or as a centrepiece. It works in arenas of all sizes – even compact acrylic setups like the Ziom or Comfort, right up to large terrariums. Looks especially striking against a contrasting background – for example, white sand below a dark resin model. Smaller colonies will largely ignore it; larger colonies often adopt it as a route or perch.
Compatibility
- Fits all arena formats 20×20 cm and larger
- Pairs with our quartz sand and decorative stones for a complete arena setup
- Combine with moss stones for a biotope look
Care & Maintenance
Wipe with a soft damp cloth when needed. Resin is waterproof – you can rinse under running water. Avoid harsh detergents and prolonged direct sunlight. Air-dry before returning to the arena.
