The three slider doors let you keep the colony in part of the nest at first, where it stays cleaner and more humid, then open chambers one at a time as it grows. When the nest fills, the dual tubing ports link a second arena or another nest so you keep expanding at the colony’s pace, and every ANTonTOP nest and arena connects with standard tubing. The 9 mm chamber height fits most popular hobby species, from Camponotus to Lasius and Messor, so the Comfort takes an established colony of 300–1200 workers ready for a long-term home after a small nest or a test tube. Easy enough for a beginner to run, spacious enough to hold an experienced keeper’s display colony, it is the nest many keepers raise their first serious colony in, then keep for years.

Two internal sponge chambers hold the moisture. Add water through the 3 mm ports with a syringe once or twice a week and it spreads by capillary action between the acrylic layers, keeping the nest evenly damp without ever wetting the colony directly. Laser-cut micro-perforations through arena and nest keep passive airflow constant, so fresh air and controlled moisture hold condensation and mould off. Avoid over-watering and clear leftover food promptly. Smooth acrylic wipes down and stays clear; don’t force the slider doors while the colony is active, and keep the nest out of direct sun at room temperature for low-maintenance years.

The Comfort arrives clean and ready: connect a tube if you are joining a test tube or outworld, fill a humidity chamber, and populate. The fitted lid and arena walls hold workers in, and for tiny or climbing species a thin band of anti-escape fluid around the arena rim adds security. Dress the arena lightly with a little sand, a stone or some moss for a tidy foraging space.
