Arena Terrarium L

This is the terrarium for the ants that get out of everything else. Airtight acrylic and snug tubing ports keep Pharaoh ants, Solenopsis and other tiny, escape-prone species contained — the ones that find the seam in an ordinary arena and march straight out. The laser-cut micro-perforation lets air flow through while the enclosure stays sealed to the colony, so the inside stays fresh and dry and mould stays off any leftover food. If an escape has ever cost you a colony, a fully sealed outworld removes the risk.

The L fits an active mid-size colony of 400–1000 workers that has outgrown a smaller arena but does not yet need full XL scale. Run a tube to a nest or formicarium and it becomes one piece of a larger build: the 8 mm and 10 mm ports match most of the ANTonTOP range, so you expand the colony’s living space without forcing a stressful full move.

Lay down sand or substrate, add a few stones, cork bark or a cushion of moss, and the L turns into a small landscape with room for real foraging trails. Set a drinker and a little protein and sugar or ant jelly inside, and the colony hunts as it would outdoors. The smooth acrylic wipes clean and stays clear; spot-clean leftovers and refresh the substrate to keep things mould-free. The sealed body and snug ports hold even tiny workers in.

A modular nest or formicarium connected through the 8 mm or 10 mm port, a drinker and ant jelly for feeding, and quartz sand, stones or moss to dress the outworld. If your colony is still small, a smaller Arena Terrarium bridges the gap until it grows into the L.

Will tiny ants escape from it?

Can I use it without a nest?
Yes. It works standalone as a complete enclosure, or connected to a nest or formicarium as a modular outworld.

What size colony is it for?
Active colonies of roughly 400–1000 workers. For larger colonies, step up to the XL.

What can I keep inside it?
Substrate, stones, cork bark and moss for a natural look, plus a drinker and food — it is the colony’s foraging and feeding space.
