Description
A section of the Great Wall, crenelated ramparts and a watchtower, laid across your arena floor. At 5 × 2.5 × 2 cm it runs horizontal, so the ridged top becomes a natural walkway and the tower a perch. Inert resin, safe for workers to patrol the wall directly.
Give your foragers a wall to patrol. Add it to your arena.

Great Wall of China miniature — crenelated wall and watchtower resin decoration for ant arenas
This is the landmark you reach for when you want to divide or frame an arena rather than drop a single tower into it. The Great Wall section measures 5 × 2.5 × 2 cm and runs long and low, modelling a stretch of crenelated stone with a watchtower at one end. Its ridged top is the practical part for a keeper: it reads to the colony as an obvious raised path, so foragers tend to march the ramparts and use the tower as a vantage point.
Why the shape works
A horizontal piece does things a vertical one can’t. Lay it across the open zone and it suggests a route between the feeding and nesting areas; set it along an edge and it becomes a low boundary that gives the layout structure. Larger colonies adopt the wall-walk readily; smaller ones still get a strong centrepiece. The resin is inert and carries no harmful coatings, so the colony patrols it with no risk. It photographs cleanly against pale sand, the dark wall cutting a line across the lighter floor.
Fits your setup
Any arena format from roughly 20 × 20 cm upward takes it, from a compact Ziom or Comfort up to a large terrarium. Lay it on top of the substrate on a level patch and keep the base clear so workers can move freely. Cleaning is simple — a damp cloth, or a rinse under running water if it gets soiled. Avoid long direct sun and let it air-dry before returning it.
About the landmark
The Great Wall runs over 21,000 km across northern China, built and rebuilt for more than 2,000 years — from the 7th century BC through the Ming dynasty of the 14th to 17th century AD. It was never one project but a system of walls and watchtowers against raids from the north. Most of the stonework you see today is Ming-era; the earlier walls were earthen. It is the longest structure ever built by hand.
Pairs well with
Quartz sand and decorative stones for the floor, moss stones for a biotope feel, and the rest of the landmark range for a larger historical scene.
FAQ
Is it safe for ants?
Yes — inert, food-safe resin with no harmful coatings.
What size is it?
5 × 2.5 × 2 cm, a long low wall section with a watchtower.
Will the colony walk the ramparts?
Usually. The raised ridge reads as a route; larger climbers like Camponotus and Polyrhachis use it most.
Can I rinse it?
Yes, the resin is waterproof — rinse and air-dry before returning it.
Do you ship outside Poland?
Yes, within 24 h with tracked delivery across the EU, the UK and worldwide; EU shipping is free over 1299 zł.
