Statue of Liberty Miniature – New York Landmark – Miniature Architectural Decoration for Ant Arenas

Robed Lady Liberty with torch held high. Placed in the open area of a formicarium arena, it gives your colony a visual focal point and provides structural variation. Ants will explore it freely – climbing on top, walking through arches and around corners. The casting is detailed enough that even at 5–10 cm scale you can recognise the original building.

About This Landmark

A gift from France to the United States to commemorate American independence, the Statue of Liberty was designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi with internal framework engineered by Gustave Eiffel (the same Eiffel of the tower). Inaugurated on Liberty Island in 1886, the copper statue stands 46 m tall on a 47 m pedestal. The torch she holds aloft represents enlightenment; the tablet under her left arm carries the date of US independence (July 4, 1776) in Roman numerals.

When to Use

Place in the open arena of your formicarium, in a corner or as a centrepiece. It works in arenas of all sizes – even compact acrylic setups like the Ziom or Comfort, right up to large terrariums. Looks especially striking against a contrasting background – for example, white sand below a dark resin model. Smaller colonies will largely ignore it; larger colonies often adopt it as a route or perch.

Compatibility

Care & Maintenance

Wipe with a soft damp cloth when needed. Resin is waterproof – you can rinse under running water. Avoid harsh detergents and prolonged direct sunlight. Air-dry before returning to the arena.
